The excitement and funds are growing as we approach NAMIWalks 2017 in just a few days!  Thank you for your efforts so far and keep it going so that reach our goal and help more people impacted by mental illness!

Where to go and What to Do When You Arrive

When is the sign-up deadline?

You can sign up until the day of the Walk at namiwalks.org/greatercleveland.  You can also register at the event.  The registration area will be under the pavilion.

May I drop off money to the NAMI GC offices?

Yes.  We have designated Wednesday, September 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or on Thursday, September 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m as NAMIWalks Collection Days.  If this does not suite your schedule, please call to schedule another time.  If you have raised $100, you may pick up your t-shirt at that time as well.

How do I get my NAMIWalks t-shirt?

If you raised $100, you are eligible for a NAMIWalks t-shirt.  To get your t-shirt coupon, check in with a member of our Greeting Committee hosted by the Burning River Roller Derby Team or at the registration table.

Where do I park?

There is a limited amount of parking near the upper Edgewater Park pavilion.

Overflow parking is located at Lower Edgewater Park (Edgewater Park Beach) which may be accessed from the Memorial Shoreway (Route 2) in either direction.  Murtis Taylor is providing shuttle service from Edgewater Beach to Upper Edgewater.  Look for the NAMIWalks shuttle stop sign.

When should I arrive and what should I do when I get there?

Registration opens at 9 a.m. If you are with a team, check with your team captain about where you want to meet as a group, and then your team captain can head to the registration tables to collect t-shirt tickets for your team members who have raised $100.  If you are walking as an individual, head to the registration tent to turn in any registration forms or donations you still have.  Then mingle, and enjoy the entertainment until the line dancing begins.

Take team photos and send them to Lisa.

Where are the bathrooms?

Bathrooms are located between the pavilions.

Will there be activities for the kids?

Yes! There will be face painting, crafts, a balloon artist, and more!

How do I enter the banner contest?

When you arrive, turn in your completed entry form at the registration desk and report to the area in front of the DJ at 9:30 a.m.

What if it rains?

We will walk rain or shine.  We are expecting Walk Day to be sunny, so wear sunscreen, sunglasses and bring a hat or visor.

Can I bring my dog?

Friendly pets are welcome so long as they are on a leash.

Our mission to raise awareness of mental illness, advocate for those affected,

and raise money so NAMI GC may offer its programs at no cost is possible because of you.

It's Not Too Late to Join Them!

Our fundraising continues for 60 days after the Walk!  But wouldn't it be nice if we got there in 17 days?

Not sure how to get started?

1.  Make a donation to yourself for others to match.  $5-$10-just start the momentum!

2.  Write out a short explanation about why supporting no cost mental health programs and ending the stigma is important to YOU.

3.  Share your link on social media and in emails to invite others to join you!

Worried you won't get any donations?  By spreading the word about NAMI's work in the community and sharing your fundraising page, you're also helping to RAISE AWARENESS. You never know whose life you'll impact by just spreading the word!
