For Profit to Non Profit Conversion
Article Subheading
This past week we took another important step towards completing our conversion to a Non-Profit organization.  On 10-7-15 the new articles of incorporation were filed with the Secretary of State's office.

Our timeline has shifted slightly so that we now plan to have the comversion complete after the 1st of the year, but we are making steady progress.  Next we will be applying for 501(c)(3) status.

I still am often asked by staff and community members alike what difference will be noticed as the result of conversion.  My answer has been consistent that the only real noticable difference will be our ability to apply for grants and solicit donations to help support our mission.  The new status does open a number of doors for us that were previously closed and I am really excited about that.
